I've been looking around the forum and I'm pretty sure I saw a reference indicating that the db file is updated in real-time. I'm pretty sure I know what "real-time" means, but I'm not sure it is updated that way. For example ...
I did a search on a large collection of jpg files. Within the Everything search results window, I open, resize, and save a file which changes the size of the file, but the file size shown in the search window does not change accordingly.
I can understand why the file size shown might not be updated if making the change within the Everything search window, so what do I need to do to see the change - rebuild the database?
Thanks

Re: Understanding Everything's DB Updating
Yes, .db is updated in real-time (by default).
File size is not directly obtainable (from the MFT) & is obtained after the fact, though it won't always be current in all cases.
