I'm concerned about performance. I'll be considering the option to mix file and folder results in Everything 1.5.
And also it's already partially possibly when sorting by recently changed
The same method would be used for mixing file and folder results.
However, it doesn't perform the best when sorting the entire index, there are usually only a few recent changes / run history items.
here is an idea.
in explorer with details and a list of files and folders displayed a shift-click on the name column will enable folders to be displayed first (in the sort order of the original setting) ie date order in effect descending then shift-click will put the folderes at the top in date order descending and all other files displayed below.
Of course the option would need consideration if this is a good way to use this modification of the sort order and/as well as an option in the view to put folders at the top or intermingled within the sort order.
My goto program and must have on everything (pun intended) devices.
thanks.
I frequently sort the output according to path.
If I click on the path column, the output is sorted folders first.
Folders first make sense to me when I sort according to name.
But with sorting according to path it is much clearer to mix folders and files especially when searching with regex.
Thus, I would appreciate if I could set an option for this.

I completely agree. It would be wonderful to have this ability
Thanks so much Search Everything development team! Search Everything is definitely one of my top favorite applications I have ever used
