Everything [VoidTools] - Win10 & Adding Network Shares - Best Practices

Does anyone use VoidTools' Everything Windows Search alternative and add network shares to their index?

I'm wondering what the optimal settings are so that it's not excessively spinning my drives up.

Gathering icons might be waking up your network drives.

Please try disabling icon shell extensions:

• In Everything, type in the following search and press ENTER:
  /icon_shell_extensions=0
• If successful, you should see icon_shell_extensions=0 in the status bar for a few seconds.

Does Everything continue to wake your network drives?

To re-enable icon shell extensions:

• In Everything, type in the following search and press ENTER:
  /icon_shell_extensions=1
• If successful, you should see icon_shell_extensions=1 in the status bar for a few seconds.
