Currently there is a preview pane so you can view individual images etc.
It would be ideal to have an extra filelist pane you can show/hide so that you can eg search in the folder names and when you click on a folder there, the (new) filelist pane fills with the selected folder's contents (details, thumbs etc as per view setting for it). If the filelist pane had its own filter that would be ideal, you could set it to eg *.jpg and do a folder search in the primary one for eg tree
The preview pane could also be open with these two so when you click on any file (whether in the primary search window or this secondary one) its preview is shown.
This would be very useful because you are often searching for a folder and need to see the listing/thumbs for each one to decide if it is the right one, or as part of inspecting them all. Doing Ctrl-Enter on a folder is a bit clumby for these purposes and in addition lacks the slickness that having the preview pane also open would provide.
Attached is a quick mock-up (by overlaying two everything windows) of how I imagine it might look as a single window with 3 panes (but the second pane would not need the path in the filter and perhaps the filter for the first pane could stretch across the window and the filter for the second pane be under it in that pane).
Cheers, David

Thank you for your suggestions meteorquake,
A folder sidebar is in development.
I am considering a search bar for the folder sidebar.
