I have a question that leads to a feature request:
Is it possible to fix the Everything to a certain location (folder), so that it stays like that even after the restart?
If not - that's my feature request.
I mean, I know I can do the searching inside of specific location by using "Advanced Search" option, but the problem is that it doesn't stay like that after the app is closed.
Fixing the app to the certain location
Re: Fixing the app to the certain location
Not quite sure what you're wanting, but...
So if you said (Include only:): C:\TMP, only C:\TMP (& files / subdirectories thereof) would be shown.
(Other ways to go about similar results, depending if you always always only want that, or on more as needed basis...)
Tools | Options | Indexes -> NTFS --> (select your drive) ---> Include in database ----> Include only:

Re: Fixing the app to the certain location
If ALL you want to see is E:\books, then the E: part you already have covered.
(Can't see, but) if your search is then the only results you should see would be any "dan" within E:\books.
If you also want C: & F: excluded, click C: -> Include in database (uncheck) & click E: -> Include in database (uncheck).
With that, you should only be finding files within E:\books - nothing else.

Re: Fixing the app to the certain location
Ah, sorry - it actually works!
Stupid me - I didn't realize I need to uncheck "Include in database" the other 2 volumes.
Thanks for the help - this is perfect!
