Is it possible to exclude very small files from the general search?

You could set up, or change a filter, where "small files" are excluded.
Like if you took the 'Everything' filter (Search | Organize Filters), you could Edit it, & change the Search: to & with that files <100 MB would not be displayed.
Or create a new filter, leaving Everything alone, & use that new filter as your "default" (such that you have the Everything filter available when needed).
