Hello Everyone,
I manage a website and often find it challenging to locate specific files quickly on my server. I've been using the "Everything" search tool on my local machine, and it has significantly improved my productivity.
I'm wondering if anyone has experience using "Everything" to manage and organize website files. Here are a few specific questions I have:
-Can "Everything" be configured to index files on a remote server, or is there a way to integrate it with my website's file management system?
-Are there any best practices for using "Everything" to streamline the process of updating and maintaining website files?
-Has anyone used "Everything" to help with version control or backup solutions for their website files?
Any insights or tips from the community would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Using Everything for Efficient Website File Management
Re: Using Everything for Efficient Website File Management
Everything doesn't have direct support for indexing websites.
Everything does have EFU files.
EFU files support URLs.
You will need to build your own EFU index of your website.
EFU files can be indexed in everything under Tools -> Options -> File Lists.
