To show previews of SVG files in Everything (and Windows Explorer):
From the Start menu, search for: regedit
Right click Registry Editor and click Run as administrator.
In the Registry Editor, navigate to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.svg
Create a new key called: ShellEx
Create a new key called: {8895b1c6-b41f-4c1c-a562-0d564250836f}
Set the (Default) value data to: {f8b8412b-dea3-4130-b36c-5e8be73106ac}
Notes:
{8895b1c6-b41f-4c1c-a562-0d564250836f} is the Preview Handler key.
{f8b8412b-dea3-4130-b36c-5e8be73106ac} is the Internet Explorer Preview Handler
To show the preview pane:
In Everything, from the View menu, check Preview (Alt + P).
Would you consider adding a "Power Toys" tab into Everything's settings that performs these registry hacks for us with a button click? Such as associating various file types to the various preview engines?
