Hello everyone.
I'd like to thank you and congratulate you for the hard work on this beautiful piece of software.
I've installed latest alpha recently and I'm noticing that the program can keep track of disconnected drives and show the files in a grey (disabled) tone.
I use to work with several external drives, and all of them are indexed as D: drive (sometimes if I work with two drives, there's D: and E:)
Is there any way to detect drive serial or drive label in order to index it along with the file path and filenames? That way I can easily detect what external drive holds what file and use Everything as an "offline catalog".
Thank you again for your work and your time.
Cheers!
Indexing of drive name along with letter
Re: Indexing of drive name along with letter
Thank you for your feedback desden,
Everything 1.5 has an index volume label property in development.
This property will show the volume label at the time of index.
Otherwise, please consider File Lists and the file list filename property.

Those are great news!
I'll try file lists until label indexing gets released.
Thanks for your feedback and happy new year.
