I've found a couple of times where ESE will not show the contents of a particular folder. I've tried uninstalling then reinstalling but that does not fix it. The only way it will find the files I'm looking for is to make a copy of the folder. ESE then will find the contents of the copied folder. Then I must delete the original folder and then rename the folder to be the same as the original. Then I'm fine until it happens with another folder.
Why does ESE forget\ignore the contents of some folders?
ESE ignores contents of some folders.
Re: ESE ignores contents of some folders.
Does it show the foldername itself in the resultlist? Are none of the files in this folder shown or just some of them?
First guess: these files are hardlinks. Everything 1.4 sometimes has a hard time keeping track of them.
A Force Rebuild should fix that (temporarily).
Everything 1.5 does a much better job in this regard. What Everything version are you using?

It does show the folder but not the contents of the folder.
They are not hardlinks.
OH! I missed Everything 1.5! I will install that!
