Is there an easy way to access archive the current database to a file. Therefore I can open it by Everything and do the search limited in that "archived" time span.
Furthermore I can see the archived present searching results just like what Win98 does but WinXP doesn't.
I know the current version can do:
1. copy the db file along wih Everything.exe in any folder
2. Export file list
But it would be nicer to be able to open db/list through File->Open or search window. Can that be possible? As these files are opened within Everything window, there's no need to write into registry.
Easy way to access Archive Database/Search Results
Re: Easy way to access Archive Database/Search Results
Apart from using the Everything SDK there is no real easy way to access the raw database.
The database format is likely to change in future releases making it difficult to support.
You would be able to do this with custom file lists in the next release of "Everything".
However, you would have to manually update the database.
